Great news everyone. Teamfortress 2 is now listed as "free to play" (F2P) on Steam. With more and more games going to the F2P, it was only a matter before revolutionary developer Valve Software got in on the action.

With their clever implementation of an in game store, users can buy hats and items which are not critical to game-play directly from the store. According to Valve, Team Fortress 2 is the highest rated game to ever be released as free to play so if you don't already own it, make sure to grab it off Steam now.
