Chaotyx Comic #4: Solar Laptops

Soaking Up the Sun, So to Say

It wasn't too long ago I stumbled across an awesome assortment of portable solar chargers from ThinkGeek. I began to get curious and delve deeper into the possibilities and currently available models of these nifty little devices. I found one in particular, ~$200, that could charge and keep a laptop running while soaking up the sun's beautiful radiation. Or however the hell solar power works, not that I care how as long as it stays awesome.

I couldn't help but think of the possible dilemmas that could be caused by this. I mean nature is meant to be roughed and get-back-to-your-manly-alpha-male-roots. I can't help but feel that the more goodies like this exist, the more common it will be for smartphones, gaming devices and laptops to start making their way into this experience until eventually the whole concept of getting back to nature will be lost.

It would be kinda rad to play some Cabela games while in the woods though, atleast for hilarity's sake.

Also, messing around with ToonDoo today. It's nifty but doesn't offer much customizing unfortunately, it's mainly just a cut and paste of various clip art. It's neat, free, and non-invasive, but I still think Bitstrips is holding the lead.
