“The secret rule” to headshots

What Secret rule?

I could drive this point home over and over again in the minds of average cs players. It seems so simple, but this rule is what separates the good from the bad. The elite from the average. In fact, ancient civilizations have known about this secret for thousands of generations. Their soldiers were trained in this very basic principle. Master huntsmen and marksmen from all era's knew this secret and guess what? It's directly related to how you perform once you type "connect" in console.

<drum-roll please>

The grand secret is....

"aim before you shoot".

That's right folks, "aim before you shoot". Say it a few times out loud. Think back, did your mommy ever tell you to "look both ways before you cross the street?" This is the same principle!! Aim before you shoot! Why not take it a step higher, don't just aim, AIM for head-shots. Okay, right now you're probably thinking, PFFT i already knew that, "what idiot doesn't know to aim for headshots?". I will clear this up for you. The vast majority of CS players know this, but they do not put it into practice. Instead they miss shots and complain that they died by a hacker, which leads me into my next point...

Putting "the secret rule" into practice

As you're playing CS, make it a game to never miss a head-shot. That means you come to a near dead stop, aim for your enemies head, and click with near 100% certainty that you will not miss. If you're using an automatic weapon, 1 short burst is all you should need to get the job done.

Now, in the beginning you will get your ass handed to you by all those "spray n prayer's". Don't let this discourage you. As you train yourself to do this, eventually your speed and accuracy will be through the roof, and those same players will have no chance of killing you.

This method has been golden when i need to shake off some rust when i haven't played CS in a while.

Remember, never miss, and never forget to aim for their head. The stricter you are about this, the better you will become.
