Minimizing to Desktop Randomly While Gaming?

Help! I've minimized and I can't get up!

 

  There are a good number of people having this issue at the moment. You're in the middle of a game, say, Left 4 Dead 2 - when suddenly you get alt-tabbed back to the desktop becoming a defenseless (sneeze-guard less if you will) buffet for whatever zombie mass you were currently fighting.

  As it seems, one major cause of this can be related to the installation of AVG 9.0. The AVG team has already addressed this as an issue and have released a quick fix until the next program update. Hopefully this will work for you too! What you need is "avgcpnfx.zip" which can be found on the AVG forums right here. You will need a restart (or fresh login) after installing the quick fix.
